Quick guides for running the league. Tap a topic to expand.
Getting started
Tap Admin (top right) and enter your admin key to unlock editing. The buttons that appear are your control panel. Everything you change saves automatically and updates for everyone.
Record a game result
Record Result → pick the division, the two teams, and the final score → Save. The standings (wins, losses, goals, points, order) update automatically — you never do the math.
Add teams (one or many)
Open
Teams & Divisions.
- To add one team: choose the division, type the name in the box, Add teams.
- To add a whole roster: paste the list into the big box — one team per line — then Add teams. New teams start at 0–0–0.
Add or rename divisions
In Teams & Divisions, the top section lists your divisions. Type a new name and short label and press Add division. Rename by editing a name box. Remove with the Remove button (this deletes its teams too).
Manage the schedule
Open
Manage Schedule, set the header and date line, then add games.
- One at a time: pick division, Away, Home, time.
- All at once: use Bulk add — one game per line as Away, Home, Time.
These appear in "Upcoming Matches" at the top of the site.
Open registration for next season
Registration Banner puts a gold strip across the top of every page with a
Register Now button on it. Write the one-line message, the button text, and what people should know before they sign up — nights, number of games, cost.
- Tapping the button opens a short form: team, captain, email or phone, which night suits them, and any notes.
- Every signup lands in Registrations in your admin bar, with a count of how many are new. Email or call straight from the list, mark them contacted as you work through, and download the lot as a spreadsheet.
- Set a date under Hide it automatically after and the banner takes itself down when registration closes — nothing for you to remember.
- The banner cannot be dismissed — it stays pinned to the top of every page for everyone while registration is open.
Under Registration emails you can have every signup emailed to you the moment it arrives. Send yourself a test first — the mail service asks the address to confirm itself once, and until that link is clicked nothing gets delivered.Registrations are private to you. They are stored separately from the league, so nothing anyone submits can affect a standing.
Playoffs
When the regular season finishes, open
Standings, pick the division and press
Start playoffs. The bracket seeds itself off the table exactly as it stands —
1 v 4 and
2 v 3, winners meet in the final.
- The table freezes the moment playoffs start, so nobody’s season record changes afterwards and everyone can see the seeding that produced the bracket.
- Tap a matchup to enter its score. Winners move to the final on their own.
- A knockout can’t end level — replay it, or record the shootout as the score.
- The semi-finals appear under Upcoming Matches on the night you set, and each one drops off the moment you enter its score. The final appears there by itself once both semis are done.
- End playoffs puts the bracket away and keeps the champion on the division.
Upcoming Matches — it updates itself
The front page shows the next date that has games on it. A night’s fixtures stay up all through that day and roll over at midnight, so a 10:50 kick-off is still showing while it’s being played and the page has moved on by morning. You never switch it over by hand — just give each set of games its date in Manage Schedule and post the whole season ahead if you like. If nothing is scheduled ahead, the last night played stays up instead of an empty page.
Set up next season before it starts
New Season builds a
draft. Nothing changes on the public site until you publish it, so you can set the whole thing up weeks ahead.
- Create draft — name the season, choose what carries over, press Create draft.
- Preview — see exactly what the site will look like. Only you see this; visitors still see the current season. You can add teams and divisions while previewing and they go into the draft.
- Publish — the new season goes live. The old standings and every recorded game are archived first, then results and the posted schedule are cleared so you start clean.
- Discard — throws the draft away and leaves the current season exactly as it is.
What the season modes mean
New Season gives you three choices:
- Keep teams, reset records — same teams back to 0–0–0.
- Keep divisions, clear teams — empty divisions ready for new rosters.
- Start blank — remove everything.
Leave "Archive" checked to save a copy of the old standings first.
